Francisco celebrou a Missa de abertura do Sínodo dos Bispos sobre a Família,
este Domingo, na Basílica de S. Pedro, no Vaticano. Assistiram os Padres
Sinodais e, outros convidados à Assembleia dos Bispos que estará reunida até ao
dia 25 de Outubro. Nesse mesmo dia, uma senhora que, fez o catering das Bodas de
Prata de uma família que pertence a Schoenstatt, comentou a uma colaboradora:

organizada pela Conferência Episcopal Italiana para rezar pelo Sínodo dos Bispos
que se realizará de 4 a 25 de Outubro deste ano. Na sua Homilia, o Pontífice
abordou a importância da família e pediu que se reze “para que o Sínodo que terá
início no dia seguinte saiba redirecionar a experiência conjugal e familiar para
uma imagem plena do Homem”, além de, “reconhecer, valorizar e propôr toda a
