Schoenstatt convocou seus membros para um primeiro encontro mundial que ocorreu
na cidade de Bellavista, Chile, em Pentecostes. Neste primeiro encontro
internacional, reuniram-se casais de países em que a União das Famílias já conta
com decênios de existência, bem como casais de países em que, só há um ano, o
primeiro curso avistou a luz do mundo; casais de países em que, ano após ano, a
União das Famílias vem registrando forte crescimento e de países onde quase não
se encontram famílias jovens; casais provenientes de países em que outrossim
existe a União das Famílias e de outros onde a atuação apostólica do Movimento
Apostólico de Schoenstatt e a direção do Movimento é sustentada pela União das
Famílias. Todos os participantes eram oriundos de diversos continentes, línguas
e faixas etárias. Em suma: o campo ideal para qualquer forma de cultura da
Aliança para dentro, em forma de aliança solidária e da experiência
enriquecedora de encontro. A Suíça marcou presença com a participação de Rita e
Franz Schuler que relataram este primeiro encontro internacional a partir de seu
